Sicily: #4 Palermo
In some subconscious part of my memory, I have stored the comparison between Palermo and New York. After a couple of days there, it became clear why.
We were only there for 3 nights, and I had a blast exploring the city. Getting lost in the alleys, old buildings, and markets. The similarity between Manhattan and Palermo seem to be a lapse of some decades/centuries.
It is dirty, loud, and with a lot of great food.
